Katamare Hotel

Although only shown as a 4 star hotel this is probably the best I have stayed in which includes a 5 star in St Petersburg. The hotel is about 3 yrs old and the quality of the fixtures and fittings are excellent. ALL the staff are friendly and helpful. I would like to give special mentions to the front of office manager Marija, restaurant manager Nicola and evening restaurant supervisor Alexsandar. They all offered exceptional customer service and nothing was too much trouble. The food in the restaurant was of really good quality. The buffet breakfast was great with plenty of choices and I would highly recommend the buffet in the evening. If there is any negative it would be the views from the balconies in the standard rooms on the front of the hotel as there is currently a building plot waiting for whoever owns it to start work in the winter season. The best rooms on the back of the hotel are of a good size and the balconies offer views of the beach and sea. We are hoping to return to the hotel next May with the intention of seeing more of Montenegro!

We stayed at the Katamare in June for 10 nights. We cannot speak highly enough of the hotel. It absolutely deserves to be a 5*. The hotel is modern, spotlessly clean and in a fantastic location. The staff are fantastic - a particular shout out to Magdelina who went above and beyond to help us. The 3 pools are all wonderful. The breakfast is extensive and delicious. It is a short walk from the beach and an area with numerous bars and restaurants. It was one of the best hotels we have stayed at. We will be back!

I was truly taken aback by the staff here. As we arrived after 9pm, staff rushed to help us with our luggage up the steps! Then we were greeted by DeJan and Milan at the front desk. They were so welcoming and engaging! I so appreciated their goodness to us after a very long day driving from Dhermi and getting lost trying to find our bus. Then... breakfast. And just wow! The buffet spread has all you need and more. But it was once again the staff we found wanting to serve with cheerful hearts. Elie and Nikola were always available with such lovely smiles. My husband would come down in the evening to get a glass of wine or a coffee from the bar and the kindness was there also. The front reception desk always willing to be so helpful. I can't name them because my husband would ask for the taxis or info and, unfortunately, he doesn't remember names. This hotel is very clean and there are free beach loungers and umbrellas down to the left of the hotel on Becici Beach with service for food and drink. There is also a promenade at the back of the hotel along the beach with tons of restaurants. Old Town Budva is about an 8 minute ride in taxi. Have the hotel call taxi for you so you don't pay ridiculous amount. Also, on way back to hotel, agree to price before you get in taxi. Hotel called taxi for our airport departure. We gave driver an additional 5 euros for his goodness and honesty and you wouldn't believe his gratitude. We loved it here. The hotel is beautiful and so are the Montenegrins.

Fabulous hotel with amazing views. We booked the premium sea view room and we were not disappointed. The room was large and airy and incredibly comfortable. The cleaners were amazing and changed towels and bedding regularly. Reception team very pleasant and helpful and the restaurant staff were lovely, particularly Nikola who made sure every guest was greeted at breakfast. Great service l, respectful and not intrusive. To the left of the hotel there is a new build however this did not bother us in the slightest. Sunbeds always available on the beach and both pools. I have nothing negative to say and would definitely stay again! Thank you Katamare Team for a great stay!

Great stay!! Really nice hotel in a great location. Small but great pool. Our apartment was spacious and clean. The staff at the front desk where great make you feel at home especially the concierge and reseptionist Helena. There was a bit of problem with AC but the guys got it sorted. Would definitely stay again
