Impressive Resort is a perfect choice for tourists seeking both relaxation and an active holiday. Clean, attentive to the clients’ needs and wishes. I can honestly say I didn’t miss anything. A large restaurant with a wide variety of food to suit all tastes. A peaceful oasis by the ocean. Attentive and welcoming staff, with many extra activity options available
Very far from the 4 star luxury holiday promised- nothing ‘impressive’ about it. We have stayed in lots of nice places branded as 4 stars, so we know the type of service to expect. There were mixed reviews from the get go but as we are not easily bothered by things, we decided to go ahead and book anyways. Check in was a very long process, with only one person behind reception at peak time. When checking in, we were not given any information about food timings, services within the hotel, activities, etc. We spent the first 30 minutes trying to figure out how to find this information ourselves, which we ended up getting from the website. Every day we have left our room at 7.30am for breakfast, and not returned until 4-5pm. Although we add the ‘clean room’ sign on the door, 4 times out of 5 we get back and it is still not done, or only just being done. At the buffet, it is very hard to get a drink (wouldn’t mind if there was self service for soft drinks), most of the time we didn’t get our order until we had finished our meal and were leaving. Some days they didn’t come over at all to offer one. Same at the bar- we would be standing around every time for 15 minutes to get served (even when it wasn’t that busy). We were ‘premium’ guests, using the ‘premium bar’ however it was open to all and many people were getting served before us, despite us being there first. Have seen the resort is meant to be for ‘foodies’, couldn’t be further from the truth. Visit if you are wanting to slim down maybe, but if not, don’t waste your money. Beautiful country, shame it was ruined by bad service.
Sin diferencia entre premium y normal! Pésima comida, la fruta no sabe a nada i eso que es un país tropical! La atención de los camareros /as de la piscina i playa i café sin ganas i con caras de desprecio. Si no das antes propina no te hablan i cuando das algo se nota la diferencia. Lo único a destacar es la barra de la recepción premium los camareros que trabajan allí muy amables y alegres! La recepción al llegar al resort descontrol total primero hicimos más de 30 min de cola para que luego no nos encuentren en la lista i se Dan cuenta que somos del premium, eso después de hacer nosotros venir cansados de viaje más de 24 h. En fin mucho que mejorar. No vale la pena pagar más por menos o lo mismo que otros

Excelente experiencia con Impressive! Habitaciones con vista hermosa, personal cálido, comida rica, y una playa para descansar y nadar. Nos encantó, lo recomiendo! Gracias JOEL por estar pendientes de nosotros y hacer que nuestra estadía sea hermosa!
We weren't sure what to expect based on the mixed reviews but we stayed for a week in March 2025 and had a nice time. We did not upgrade to the premium, and we did not go to the membership talk to get you to join their memberships... waste of time for us. We were in building 17 and there was construction going on beside us as they are adding onto the resort. Though there were workers on the site, we didn't hear too much noise in the rooms. Our check-in was quick and someone took us on a golf cart to our room and told us a little about the resort. Our room was pretty basic but clean. The shower head was broken but someone fixed it after one day after asking. The beach was absolutely beautiful, you can walk for hours on the white sand and relax in the chairs down by the water. Vendors walk back and forth on the beach selling items, but we did not find them to be aggressive or pushy. There were always chairs available down by the beach, but not usually by the pool. People put their towels on the chairs to save their spots every morning. Every day had activities to participate in, exercise classes, salsa classes, games in the pool, yoga at the pier. There was also entertainment each night, we saw the 'Circus' and 'Queen' and they were both great! You have to log into the app as soon as you get there (online on the webpage) to reserve the A La Cart restaurants. They fill up fast and we did not get a spot on our first night. We went to the buffet for most of our meals. There were lots of options, always meat, potatoes, vegetables and rice and then salads, pizza fries etc. I unfortunately got sick from the food and was unable to eat for 5 days, my husband enjoyed the meals each day. We went to the Japanese and Mexican restaurants and they were pretty good. The resort was at full capacity when we were there so it was very busy. Staff were not unfriendly, but I wouldn't say that they were overly welcoming either. I will say, they work hard, long days all day and at multiple resorts... so we always tipped no matter their demeanor. Overall the resort was fairly decent. I was sick from the food so that definitely put a damper on things, but we still enjoyed the beach and the activates that the resort put on. Lots of lovely people from all over the world there! DR is a beautiful country!
