La Caretta Restaurant and Hotel

An excellent place to stay and the best location in Alyakanas Zante. Good size pool with area for kids, an amazing beach just a couple of minutes down the road. The room is regularly cleaned and was not an issue to ask for additional blanket. I had a studio room with basic amenities like microwave, toaster and kettle. Although there is no cooking facility but not an issue for me as we were dining out because a nice meal cost in Zante is cheap. The lady was kind to contact my shuttle transfer provider, and more importantly she did not charge me additional cost for late check out. I was in Room 6 and i hope to visit again sometime soon ❤️🫒

The hotel itself was nice, however we encountered quite a few problems. Firstly we were slapped with a €49 tax fee (€7 a night) which we weren’t informed of beforehand. There was also an additional €7 a day air conditioning fee when the temperature was permanently boiling. We tried to keep the balcony door open to counteract it, but it was a shared balcony so we had to keep it closed and locked when not around. It would also allow flies and mosquitoes a plenty in, which would not go away. The balcony itself was also booked for a pool/garden view however we got neither. The bathroom had a terrible smell from day 1 that wouldn’t go away, and we arrived to see the cultery was still dirty from the previous tenants. The pool was nice, but permanently freezing to the point you couldn’t enjoy yourself in it. Hotel staff were reasonably nice in our limited interaction, despite there never seeming to be anyone at the reception. The best part was the La Caretta restaurant next door, which had excellent customer service and food!

A family run hotel. Very clean and well run. Rooms were refreshed daily. Towels and bedding every 3 days. Owners were warm welcoming people that happily engaged with guests while running the place. They have a bar next door and a restaurant next to the bar. We had a family wedding near by and 26+ people staying there and all of us felt at home for the 2 week we were there. The bar is run by Nicos and Charlotte. Brilliant couple that love engaging with guests and having a good time with you while you are in the bar. Prenotato tramite nota piattaforma, la camera deluxe non era affatto come presentata nelle foto: bagno non ristrutturato, mobili scadenti ormai da sostituire, pulizia superficiale. Unico plus della stanza l’essere costituita da stanza da letto e cucina (mai usata). Essendo sottotetto caldo indicibile, occhio perché a qualcuno è stato richiesto il pagamento extra per l’uso della aria condizionata. Personale praticamente mai visto durante i sette giorni di soggiorno se non al momento di check in e check out, senza dare alcuna indicazione. Posizione tranquilla ma lontana da città e spiagge del sud. Valutate bene prima di scegliere questa struttura

Very relaxing and clean hotel. Me and my friends had a great time. The staff are very pleasant and the restaurant is magnificent 👌. We had plenty of support on the area which allowed us to fully experience traditional Greek culture and the beach nearby is one of the best on the whole island.
