Paradisus by Meliá Gran Canaria

It was a very nice vacations. The hotel make a great job. The staff was Nice. The hotel is new. The rooms have a modern controller for temperature and lights. We have the best room in a hotel it was worth it. We had a free airport transfer and consierge service. Thanks a lot for all team of the hotel. It’s a lot of restaurant and good drinks included. We stays a week and it was fun. With the life músic on breakfast and and night as well. Recommend !!

It was our second time in this hotel and we will definitely come back! Everything was really great. The food was excellently prepared, although we liked it better when the buffet also offered pre-prepared meats. The room was nice, however the mattress was too soft for our taste. The staff was very nice, always ready to help. We were very lucky to meet Petra from Circle who helped us find the perfect way to go on holidays with Meliá according to our travel needs. We are really looking forward to the new year to travel again, but as Meliá Circle members.

Two week stay in early December 2024. We stayed in a upgrade Reserve Room with access to the Adults only “Reserve Lounge and Pool”. This upgrade is more 5 star than what we would have experienced without, so would recommend the upgrade although it’s on the expensive side. Firstly the staff , who can really make a holiday. Top marks to your staff with a huge special mention for “Maivelys” the food and drinks coordinator in the Reserve Lounge. Nothing was too much trouble to help us and she went above and beyond for our special food requests. She is a star and a huge asset to your staff and the hotel image. Also many thanks to “Irene” in the reserve breakfast, always there with a smile every morning. Also to Jessica in the Italian in the evening. Food: We tried the Gastro Hall (Buffet) once early in our stay but were so disappointed left after trying a starter which wasn’t great. Would suggest that you book up the A La Carte restaurants each night, which are of a much higher standard and much more relaxing! Mascalzone (Italian) was our clear favourite. Could do with some chicken or steak on the menu too please. Rooms: We had a ocean view on the third floor. Definitely worth paying for this rather than a front or side room with poor outlooks. Immaculately cleaned each day so thank you. Reserve Area. A couple of suggestions. Make the area only accessible by the bracelet to open the doors as on several occasions non Reserve residents were in using the facilities and would argue with the staff that they could be in there. To help with this make access to the Italian Resturaunt at lunch time via the other doors not through the Reserve area. The sunlounger cushion covers could do with changing as they are starting to look dirty. Also have enough staff to ensure all Reserve guests get a priority checkin , we were told they were too busy and just checked in at the front reception. Some good free excursions as reserve guest which are worth going on especially the Banana plantation visit. Overall a good holiday, would we return… YES .. but realise need to spend more to get true 5 star. Will look at your prices for next year!

The rooms are beautiful, but The Reserve is not worth it. The rooms are located near rooms with children , and we had to pay extra on-site to get a room on a higher floor. The food is definitely not up to 5-star standards. While the buffet offers a lot of variety, the quality of the dishes does not match the prices. The only truly good restaurant can only be booked once during your stay. Many of the staff seemed irritated, which impacted the overall atmosphere. The Reserve pool is small and located in the center of the property, but it is still pleasant. However, The Reserve breakfast is served right next to the children’s playground, which is not ideal for those seeking peace and quiet. While the rooms are nice and the Reserve pool has its charm, the overall experience does not justify the cost. Families with children might find it suitable, but for couples or anyone looking for a tranquil, premium experience, it’s disappointing.
