Sol Caribe Beach

Amazing experience, the best hotel I’ve ever been to in Cuba, everyone was super nice and very professional. Highly recommend if you don’t wanna have to worry about anything during your stay

Overall good experience. Nice and clean, friendly staff and good drinks. Except the food and fruits were not the best quality and looked old. There was also very limited food for the number of guests they had. Also there were so many mosquitos at the resort which caused some of my family members, including a young child, to become extremely swollen. I believe Sol Caribe should do something about the mosquito situation.

We stayed at the junior suite with our family of 4, including a toddler. Here's our honest opinion: Pros: Incredible beach; crystal clear water with some fish Decent buffet (omelet station for breakfast and chicken station for lunch/dinner were the highlights) Close to town (take the $10 classic car; it'll be worth it) Junior suite was worth the extra $$$ with a large balcony and extra space Fresh coconut water by the beach for $1 USD Affordable compared to other islands Cons: No room service!!! No air conditioning in the lobby or hallways; it was brutal Rude/unhelpful front desk/concierge staff Bath towels were stained and changed infrequently Pool was so shallow close to the swim up bar and mostly elsewhere as well that you had to be on your knees; it was ridiculous Buffet hours were too limiting; not open for lunch until 12:30pm Snack bar/shack had limited food options Mosquitos were everywhere at this time of the year We won't go back to this hotel, but Varadero beach and the city's old world charm is totally worth another trip to Cuba.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel with my family! The staff was incredibly welcoming and always ready to help, which made us feel at home from the very first moment. The rooms were spacious, clean, and very comfortable. One of the highlights was the location, it is just steps away from a beautiful beach. This made it the perfect spot to disconnect, relax, and enjoy quality family time. We especially loved spending our mornings by the ocean and then returning to the hotel to rest. The peaceful environment, combined with the great service, created exactly the type of vacation we were looking for. We would definitely come back and recommend it to anyone who values being close to nature and the beach.

Just came back and I had to say it was a hit and miss experience overall. I've been to Cuba 16 times and this is my second least liked hotel. Location not too long of a drive from the airport, good distance from the city. Beach was beautiful but they had to get rid off the white lounge chairs, they are old broken and uncomfortable They have a few blue new chairs but are always occupied, unless you have to get up early and go to reserve at 7am to get one. Shortage of Beach towels To change your towels you will have to be there by 9am when they first open the club house, if you are late, you are not going to be able to get one. Food at the buffet was not that great Some food was tasteless but just some was ok. The same goes to the a la carte some items on the menu were not available. Their hotdogs, ham and cheese sandwiches at the snack bar are great, they had pulled pork sandwiches once at the buffet and it was delicious, same goes to the paella. Be careful when getting food cooked for you You need to make sure they cook it properly The fish was raw as well as the chicken No hamburger on the week we were staying. Their coffee is watered down, apparently they make an americano and add half water to it. Best thing to do is to get a cappuccino or ice cap which was delicious. Rooms seems to be renovated but some maintenance is required My toilet had a missing button to flush to which we called in to fix it but the emplyee came right way but when inspecting it he said that he did not have the piece and that he was going to come back but never did. The service at the restaurant was good, not great at the snack bar by the pool, and at Beach if you need help to get a lounger chair you have to tip unless they will not look at you. I always tip after I am served but it was very disarable. We also took the paddle boat and the attendant instead of handing us the life jacket he would tell you to get them yourself as well as when we went back, he delegate to put them back. Room cleaning only consistent of making the bed or cleaning the floor, garbage was not taking out daily. The sink and toilet was never cleaned. I don't think I will come back to this hotel or either suggest it.
