Absolutely disgusting food! Room service will always arrive cold. The restaurants do not give you what they offer on the menu they make it up. Focaccia - this hotel thinks it’s a hamburger bun! Shocking all round. Should not have 5 stars. The staff cannot speak English.

We Chose Hilton for our Family Vacation in Mauritius and they dint let us down. Gave us a room upgrade with a bath tub and additional couch as a welcome gesture. Food experience is awesome here with multiple restaurants to choose from including an Indian restaurant Kesari. The staff is multilingual and super polite. They will absolutely ensure you have a good stay with them. The spa, pool with a jacuzzi is super relaxing. You also have a kids club here which works like a creche loaded with kiddie activities. The tennis court worked wonders for my 11 year old. A huge shoutout to the Boathouse guys specially James...they were all super cooperative with our multiple requests for snorkeling kits peddle boats etc. Mind you all these activities are included in your cost. Do reachout to them if you wish to go for a swim with the dolphins...!!!! There's a safe parking bay in case you choose to go for a self rented car which we had opted for. Overall an excellent experience and we absolutely dont mind repeating this place whenever we go back to Mauritius !!!

This hotel is lovely and set in beautiful tropical gardens right on the beach. The gardens are beautifully maintained and we saw some truly amazing sunsets. Overall this was a good holiday, the food and service were generally good but I would not recommend it for anybody who is gluten intolerant or if you want decent entertainment.. So the pros and cons: Pros: Lovely location Two pools including a lovely infinity pool which was (supposedly) adults only Safe, shallow area of the sea in front of the hotel marked off by buoys 3 a la carte restaurants which were good quality Beds comfy and room spacious and clean Most staff friendly and efficient Flic en Flac beach has soft sand and is very pretty, especially at sunset Cons: The buffet breakfast has exactly the same food every day and this became very boring The main restaurants indicate allergens on their menus EXCEPT dishes containing gluten. 'Sustainably sourced fish' was shown on the menu but not GF which seems a weird priority to have. No allergens were marked on the breakfast buffet food unlike some other 5 star hotels so most of the time I had to guess whether something contained gluten or not.. I had to find a member of staff every morning who could get me some GF bread. Housekeeping was very variable - towels weren't always changed even though it was obvious they were covered in sand and twice we had to call reception to have the cups in the room replaced as housekeeping had taken the old ones away. On both occasions we had to ring twice as reception said they would send clean cups but they did not arrive. Entertainment was limited - most nights it was the same trio playing a different genre of music and by the end of the holiday we were really bored with the same old easy listening music. We were disappointed because the advertising had talked about there being a DJ 3 evenings a week but this didn't happen. There was Sega dancing which was interesting for a short while. The only musician we really enjoyed listening to was the saxophonist who was really good. Some of the other musicians were unfortunately playing and singing out of tune at times. Finally, a shout out to ANAND who looked after the bread section of the buffet breakfast for being so helpful in going and finding gluten free bread for me. He was the only member of staff who really went out of his way to be helpful.
